FOSS4G stands for “Free Open Source Software For Geospatial,” referring to open-source software for spatial and geographic information. The FOSS4G international conference serves as
a collaborative platform where developers and users in this field come together to exchange experiences, knowledge, and technologies. FOSS4G-Asia is an event held on the Asian continent, starting in Bangkok in 2014 and occurring biennially. This year, the event will take place in Seoul, aiming to enhance the global status of Seoul as a city by promoting innovation and collaboration among urban governments in Asia, expanding the ecosystem of the geospatial industry,
and showcasing South Korea’s geospatial technology capabilities.
