Professor Maria Antonia Brovelli has been serving as a Full Professor at Politecnico di Milano in Italy since 2010. In 2015, she was honored with the Sol Katz Award. She holds leadership roles as the Co-Chair of the UN Open GIS Initiative and the Chair of the UN GGIM Academic Network. Additionally, she is actively involved in the GEOAI community as a curator.
At FOSS4G Asia 2023 Seoul, Professor Hwang Ji-eun will be presenting on the new role of the Digital Twin approach and its impact on rapid urban development and reconstruction. She will explore the concept of “Lucid Heritage,” considering its new role in evaluating contemporary heritage and the way we learn from the past.
Professor Jie-Eun Hwang has been a professor in the Department of Architecture at University of Seoul since 2009 and has also been serving as the CEO of TechCapsule since 2018. In addition to these roles, she has been the Director of the Seoun Collaborative Support Center and has worked as a visiting researcher at Carnegie Mellon University’s Robotics Institute. She has also held the position of Co-Curator for the Seoul Urban Architecture Biennale.
