Sang Yong Lee, the Digital Executive of Seoul, initiated his career at Samsung Electronics from 2004 to 2008, accumulating exceptional skills in the fields of technology and engineering. Subsequently, from 2008 to 2010, his experience at Microsoft Korea broadened his understanding of working in global corporations.
From 2010 to 2017 at KT, he dedicated his role as an executive to Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and new business development. Between 2017 and 2019, at EY Hanyoung, he served as a Partner and Executive, earning high trust in global management and strategic consulting.
In 2022, he actively contributed to innovative technologies and business models as an executive at the blockchain startup Hexlant, and concurrently, in September 2022, he was appointed as the Digital Executive at the Seoul Metropolitan Government, leading digital strategies for current and future challenges.

At FOSS4G-Asia 2023 Seoul, we will delve into the critical theme of reshaping the future city through the lens of artificial intelligence (AI). We aim to explore how rapidly advancing AI technologies are transforming urban environments and, specifically, how Seoul plans to respond to these changes to maximize benefits for its citizens through concrete policies and strategic directions.

Jody Garnett has been actively involved in the GeoServer Project Steering Committee since 2003. Additionally, since 2011, Jody has served as the Chair of the Incubation Committee at OSGeo, leading initiatives to foster the growth and support of open-source geospatial projects.
Furthermore, from 2015 to 2019, Jody Garnett played a pivotal role as the Community Lead at Boundless, spearheading the geospatial technology community and fostering collaboration among participants to achieve valuable outcomes.
In the past, Jody took on the roles of Director and Chair at OSGeo from 2016 to 2018, guiding the organization and actively participating in key decision-making processes. OSGeo, a significant nonprofit organization, focuses on promoting the development and dissemination of open-source geospatial software, and Jody Garnett played a crucial role during this period.
Currently, Jody Garnett is the Project Owner at GeoCat bv, leading geospatial projects successfully since 2019. With a wealth of experience, Jody continues to contribute to the advancement of open-source geospatial technology and the strengthening of the community.
