Government of India has launched many social and welfare schemes like Vidhyalakshmi, National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS), Swaraj Scheme, Ujjwala Scheme, Swayam Prabha, Pradhan Mantri Gram Parivahan Yojana etc. NAPS is one of the most powerful skill delivery schemes across the nation. Also the State Government has announced a set of specific welfare schemes to the people of the respective states. Mission Bhagiratha is a scheme announced in state of Telangana to ensure clean drinking water per person in rural households and urban households. Similarly there are a set of initiatives engineered by Academic Institutions like IIT Bombay “Right to Light” under which Ministry of New and Renewable Energy will provide solar lamps to the schools going students of Uttar Pradesh and four other states. These schemes aim for upliftment of the quality of life of the people by offering financial assistance, training assistance etc.
Though there are many beneficial schemes in the country, the reach of the schemes to the people remain a challenge. It is essential to ensure that the benefits provided by the welfare schemes of the Government reaches the needy. Apart from enhancing the awareness among the people about the available welfare schemes, ease to use web or mobile application is the need of the hour to achieve the above goal.
