Many web applications provide web map services of area information and routing functionality online. However, when a large disaster occurs, the web map services may not be available in case that almost the communication infrastructures become unavailable. In this study, we propose, GeoMANET that could provide Location Information Service based on GPS and wireless LAN function of mobile devices. In this system, we aim to support for stranded commuters to find safe routes in a disaster scenario. In order to verify the usefulness of the proposed system, we constructed a Mobile Ad-hoc Network, implemented Location Information Sharing System and evaluated its functionality and performance. We describe the salient features and demonstrate the capabilities of the system.
