After Version2 was announced in September 2013, users and developers of QGIS ,that is open source GIS, is growing rapidly. Available in the Japanese menus and messages of the program by adding to create Japanese resources because it is provided by a single source code that has been internationalized QGIS.But there were some obstacles when you use Japanese in former version of QGIS. One of the failures was that it does not correctly handle the data that Japanese are mixed.It was that cannot be handled well Japanese is mixed in the data file name is another obstacle. These defects are becoming resolved by Contribute and fixes bug pointed out from Japan. The WEB page of QGIS community documentation and user guide, etc. have also been internationalized, it is possible to use Japanese by adding the Japanese resources.In this presentation,I will describe the current status and progress of work of Japanese localization of QGIS.
